There are a lot of people who would like to trade in the forex market. Unfortunately, the best time to trade in this market is during the day. Since most people have day jobs, this poses a problem. My research shows that people want a mobile app that allows them to trade from their phones. Such apps currently exist, but what if the user has limited time? Even though they want to trade on their phones, they don’t want to study charts on their phones. They would love to look at charts from their home computers and set up indicators and oscillators in their trading accounts that allow them to place the trade on their phones. But, most trading apps on the market don’t provide alerts or alarms when the indicators and oscillators have been reached. My goal is to give the people what they want!

With a thorough research plan and through interviews, affinity mapping, Persona creation, and A/B testing, a Hypotheses was created.

Hypotheses: Users need a way to trade while mobile (away from their desk) because that will increase their chances of making gains while the market is open.

Measure: The user could skip the bulk of the learning curve by trading using indicators. I iterated this in the design by providing screens where the user could set their indicators and oscillators, and then link that to their MetaTrader4 account.

This gave me the fuel I needed to created various fidelity wireframes including several end-users in the process. They were interview at each stage so I could refine the app, and present what you see below.
